Greek Ravani Cake

6 eggs (room temperature)
pound slated butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup farina
2 teaspoons baking powder

For Syrup:
3 cups sugar
3 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla
lemon juice


Blend butter until white, then add sugar, eggs, flour, farina and baking powder.

Bake in 9x13 buttered pan at 315 F for 30 minutes.


Boil together all ingredients until the mixture begins to thicken, usually about 15 minutes, and then cool.

Cut cake into squares and pour syrup over top.
